Official Rules for the $1,500 American Express® Gift Card Giveaway Sweepstakes

This sweepstakes is offered only in the United States. Do not enter if you are not currently located in the United States.

Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. EDT on September 1, 2008, and ends at 4:00 p.m. EDT on September 30, 2008.

Thank you for participating in the "$1,500 American Express® Gift Card Giveaway." There is no purchase necessary to enter or to win. A purchase will not increase your chance of winning. Limit one entry per person/e-mail address. Multiple entries and unreadable entry forms will be disqualified. Simply complete the online form and submit your entry.

TO ENTER: Log onto dirtdevil.com/vactoschool and complete the entry form. Entries must be received by 4:00 p.m. EDT on September 30, 2008, to be eligible for the sweepstakes. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all respects.

Sponsor is not responsible for any lost, late, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete entries or for any technical problems in connection with transmission or receipt of entries, including faulty electronic data transmission, traffic congestion on the Internet or the Web site, hardware or software error, equipment failure or malfunction, or other online communications problems. All entries become the property of the Sponsor. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Automated entries (including, but not limited to, entries made using any script, macro, bot, or sweepstakes service) are not allowed. No other attempted method of entry will be accepted.

PRIZE: The following prize will be awarded. The prize is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash or for credit. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if stated prize becomes unavailable for any reason.

Grand Prize (1): $1,500 American Express® gift card. Gift card subject to terms set by issuer. American Express® is not a sponsor of or affiliated with this sweepstakes.

SELECTION OF WINNER: Winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about October 3, 2008. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Prizewinner will be notified by e-mail (sent to the e-mail address provided with entry submission). Potential winner will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within 10 days of date of notification. Prize will be mailed to winner residence, provided with entry submission. If prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.

ELIGIBILITY: Drawing is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 or older. Employees of TTI Floorcare North America and its affiliated companies, agents, advertising and promotion agencies and their employees, and the immediate family members of each of the aforementioned are not eligible to enter. THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process or Web site.

GENERAL: By accepting the prize, winner acknowledges that Sponsor has not made nor is responsible for any warranty or representation, express or implied, relative to prize, including, but not limited to, its quality or mechanical condition. By entering the sweepstakes, entrant agrees that Sponsor has no liability whatsoever for any injuries or damages of any kind which may result from acceptance and/or use of the prize awarded, or for any warranties, if any, which may exist with regard to the same. Acceptance of prize releases Sponsor from any and all liabilities relating to or in any way involving the prize awarded. Except where prohibited by law, by accepting prize, winner grants permission for Sponsor and those acting under its authority to use his/her name, photograph, voice, and/or likeness for advertising and/or publicity purposes in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without additional compensation. Winner is solely responsible for applicable federal, state or local income taxes on prizes.
